Is your Podcast an Informercial or is it Educational?
- Informercial podcasts are designed to promote one or more businesses or organizations with the goal of increasing revenues.. Typically an Infomercial will only provide favorable comments about the business/org it’s promoting and will not accept competitive advertising.
- Educational podcasts do not promote any business or organization, will accept competitive advertising, and is editorially independent from it’s advertisers.
How do both types fit within our model?
- Informercial podcasts are considered advertisements in our model and are readily accepted for a fee and clearly represented to the user as an advertisement. To publish an infomercial, you pay us.
- Educational podcasts instead will host advertisements and sponsors and generating revenue for the podcaster, sales person, and Town Manager. If we accept and publish your podcast and if we attract paying advertisers, we pay you.
Join the our network!
You can and should continue to create, publish, and promote your own podcasts via your existing methods. We ask for an independent copy of your podcast and will publish it via the Townpodcast.com network along with inserted ads. At the end of each month, we will write you a check based on a percentage of advertising revenue your podcast was responsible for.
